Besides projects (of the big, exciting, can’t-talk-about-them-yet variety), some of our biggest news has come from our recent commemoration and awards. The team at Absolute snapped up three awards at this year’s AVA Digital Awards, including a Platinum Award in the Video for the Web / Educational Institution category, and two Gold Awards in web video for Marketing (Product) and Corporate Image. This year’s competition had us up against agencies with content from Intel, NASA, Microsoft, and Hilton, among others, and our terrific performance this year has only emboldened us in the public arena.

All the while, we continue to produce new content for the local Chicago area, from live events, to theatrical productions, to branding and media content. We’ve been part of some major marquee projects that have seen us from the heart of the city to the farthest reaches of suburbs, and we’ve contributed our expertise to Chicagoland companies both big and small.

On the creative and graphical side of the equation, Absolute Vision Productions teamed up with our sister company at Chicago Projection Mapping to produce media for some of their recent events. Including recent work for IIT Kent-Chicago’s 125th anniversary, we’re closely linked in the content creation for this new medium, including new work coming all the way from international waters.

This has already been a busy year for Absolute, and we’re looking to take this momentum with us into summer 2013 at full speed. Though there’s still a lot to do between here and there (starting with a refreshed demo reel!), we’re excited to reveal some of what we’ve been working on behind the scenes in the next few months. Absolute’s upgraded package now includes a refreshed Autocue prompting system, real-time script editing, faster setup time, and included crew and teleprompter operators (by request). The refreshed system also now works for both stand-alone teleprompter rental, as well as in conjunction with Absolute’s standard and custom production packages. As with all Absolute production services, the enhanced teleprompter is available for the local Chicago area, as well as general midwestern region.

IIT-Kent had a unique challenge – convey the strength of their alumni network and forward-looking direction of the school to past students, all the while creating content that could get the attention of prospective attendees. Absolute was up to the task, and is in the process of creating a compelling, informative, and community-oriented video series for the school’s first major alumni gathering in years. The series focuses on the history of IIT-Kent, the wide variety of influential alumni, and the donors and outreach that truly make the school extraordinary.

Reaching out to this many alumni would pose a challenge to a conventional media company. The series is expansive, including shoots in Peoria, Chicago, Springfield, and Napa Valley, while featuring famous members of the judicial and legal community. Where other groups would balk, Absolute’s agile production team has kept the project price-efficient, while retaining stunning aesthetic quality and creative vision. The series is slated for release in February 2013.

Yet this isn’t the first major marketing for education that Absolute Vision has been a part of. Absolute has been developing content for Catholic schools since 2007 throughout the Chicagoland area, including Guerin Prep and St. Viator. Most recently, Absolute completed the latest in a series of marketing and promotional videos for Joliet Catholic Academy. The series has been a breakout success within the JCA community, as in addition to a conventional recruitment video, Absolute’s viral commercials and music videos helped JCA stand out among high school recruiters.
